Thank you for taking the first step in becoming an Austin Humane Society Volunteer!
This non-refundable registration fee helps offset the resources associated with running a large volunteer program. This ensures that more of our resources can go directly to the care of the animals. Discounts are offered below for seniors and students, but if you are able to purchase a ticket at the higher fee, we appreciate the additional support!
Once you have paid the volunteer registration fee, you will be emailed next steps in the training process. This email will prompt you to create a volunteer profile. You will then have the opportunity to complete our initial 101 training series from the comfort of your home at your own convenience. Once you completed the online training, you will be emailed next steps for in-person hands on training so you can join the team!
Just a reminder for our younger supporters: Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age to volunteer for the Austin Humane Society. Volunteers aged 14-15 must have a parent or guardian over the age of 21 train and volunteer with them at all times. This adult must also register as a volunteer. 16 and 17-year old volunteers only need parental consent, which is given during the online application process.
